I saw two movies lately, The Imitation Game and Frank. Both were enjoyable, starring good actors, none was a masterpiece, though. I saw Winter Sleep at the cinema. It's the Turkish film that won La Palme d'Or in Cannes this year. Fortunately I hit the lady's room before entering the room because the film lasts 3 hours and 17 minutes and if you add the 20 minutes of trailers and ads before it, it's quite a trial for any normal bladder!

Today I went and saw a lovely lovely film that was showed at the Cannes Festival.

Bird People is filled with grace. It's a poetic and surprising movie. I wasn't a big fan of Pascal Ferran's previous film, Lady Chatterley, but this one is an enchantment, from the opening scene in the RER train to the ending. And it stars Josh Charles who is ( Read more... )

I've seen a few films at the cinema lately: My Sweet Pepper Land, Eastern Boys, States of Grace and Labor Day. Eastern Boys was easily the best one and would be the only one I'd want to review.
